About Lake Lanier Rowing Club

Olympic Park offers much more than just the rowing venue for the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics. Amenities at the park are located on either side of the highway on the shores of Lake Lanier. Being connected by a Pedestrian tunnel (which goes under Clark�s Bridge Road) allows easy access to all. On Saturday my wife and I took our six year old Granddaughter to the park. She had a great time playing with all the other kids at the public beach area. It has a sandy shoreline and a designated swimming area. She took a break for lunch which we enjoyed at one of the numerous nearby picnic tables that overlooks Lake Lanier. In the afternoon we visited the Fields Memorial Butterfly Gardens and the Olympic Tower and plaza. You can rent the tower which has a meeting room or the large concrete World Championship plaza which contains stadium seats that can hold over 2000 people. Both overlook the lake. Other features include: 1-Boaters can enjoy complimentary launch facilities 2-Free truck and trailer parking available adjacent to the boat ramp 3-You can come by boat, tie up at the dock and take advantage of all the park amenities for free We really enjoyed our time here and will return. Both Family and Dog friendly. Plenty of parking. Public Restroom facilities on site. Open daily 7am to dusk. Plenty of parking.
