My favorite part of the park is that you can ride the SAM shortline train from the park. The park has a lodge, villas, cabins, and a camping area. We stayed in the villas and they were much nicer than I expected! The visitor center has a museum dedicated to veterans, featuring weapons and uniforms from various wars and much more. About Georgia Veterans State Park

My favorite part of the park is that you can ride the SAM shortline train from the park. The park has a lodge, villas, cabins, and a camping area. We stayed in the villas and they were much nicer than I expected! The visitor center has a museum dedicated to veterans, featuring weapons and uniforms from various wars and much more. Outside, there is an area that features military planes, tanks, and big guns. A bit further in the park is a memorial to the veterans. The park has two restaurants, but only one is open because of covid. You can bring your RC plane to the park to fly, as well as go boating, fishing, and hiking. I will definitely be coming back to this park!
