Seminole State Park

If you haven't stayed in Georgia's Seminole State Park campground, you should. Most sites are well spaced, pull through camping sites facing the lake; the outer ring sites are back-in sites that back up to the plain and wood. Quiet and super clean. A gas station and Dollar General less then 5 miles away in case you need anything. About Seminole State Park

If you havent stayed in Georgias Seminole State Park campground, you should. Most sites are well spaced, pull through camping sites facing the lake; the outer ring sites are back-in sites that back up to the plain and wood. Quiet and super clean. A gas station and Dollar General less then 5 miles away in case you need anything. Within an easy 1.5 hour drive of all three of these FL state parks; Falling Waters (the furthest away), Florida Caverns, and Three Rivers (30 minutes away). We drove to Falling Waters SP and back tracked to the other two, making a loop that took us a day, including hiking time in each park. Or if you had more time, spend a day in each. We rented a two bedroom, pet friendly cottage and it was nicely spaced from the others; no over crowding here at Seminole SP. The 2 mile hiking loop at Seminole SP is well kept, with informative signage throughout. The cabin was well stocked, and comfortable with a deep, screened porch facing the lake, and a picnic table and fire ring for evening campfires under the clear, starry sky. There is a beach on the lake, playgrounds for the children, and a putt putt course as well, to keep the family entertained. This state park is a well kept secret and a gem.
