Vogel State Park

Beautiful park, great falls, spectacular location. We stayed in cottage 24. Listen up it's right next to a busy road and the cottage was newly built and the road noise was definitely a issue. The cottages are super close together and our view overlooking the parking lot and visitors center was a buzzkill. Check in took forever and the staff seemed overwhelmed. About Vogel State Park

Beautiful park, great falls, spectacular location. We stayed in cottage 24. Listen up it's right next to a busy road and the cottage was newly built and the road noise was definitely a issue. The cottages are super close together and our view overlooking the parking lot and visitors center was a buzzkill. Check in took forever and the staff seemed overwhelmed. We love Georgia state parks and this was Thanksgiving weekend so I'm sure that played a part in the staffing issue. The facility was clean and the park was well kept. We did enjoy the time we spent here but it's not been our favorite but many of our friends love it. We did not see the camping areas tho. The hike to the waterfall is easy and the lake is beautiful. The cottage amenities where nice with fast WiFi. I will say bring your own soap and shampoo cause there was none of that provided which it should be in my opinion for the price. Upon check out we met the cleaning staff and thanked them and their is so much to do around the area we had a great time. Just wanted to give y'all a little bit of insight into the few things we noticed.
