You embark, then return, to a tree-shaded, privately-owned white-sand beach launch. As captain of your own Eco Tour, you choose where to explore in Single or Double Sit-on-Top Recreational kayaks. You will paddle through a long stretch of shady, "still" water (meaning free of currents,wind and wakes) observing native flora and wildlife such as turtles, cormorants, pelicans, mullet and occasionally dolphins. In a typical three-hour paddle you will also observe a unique river culture that showcases tree houses, festive personal docks and homes ranging from "river shacks" to Southern Gothic mansions. It is possible to purchase freshly-caught shrimp directly from a shrimper docked outside his home!
