About M&D Quinault Guide Service

Due to the lack of hunting and prime habitat, the black bear population on the Quinault Indian Reservation has skyrocketed over the last few decades. it is estimated that these bears cause a loss of $1 million in timber each year. Because this hunt is on tribal land it is the only area in Washington state where it is legal to bait for bears, baiting is the most effective method for taking larger bear. Due to this over abundant population we are able to offer this unique guided black bear hunt to non-tribal members. This is a very exciting hunt to offer, non-tribal hunters have not hunted on the reservation since 1855.
