We hunt in the rugged and spectacular Anaconda-Pintler Wilderness, the Beaverhead National Forest located in the famous "Big Hole Country" of Southwestern Montana, and our private ranch leases. Our areas are some of the few trophy elk districts established in Montana. Recent publications have identified our hunting areas as having "produced the most record book bulls" and as being "the place to hunt for trophy elk". LaMarche Creek Outfitting is privately owned by Lance Stanchfield. Lance is a native Montanan raised in Wise River. He began hunting at age 12 and started guiding at age 18. In 1995 when opportunity became available he purchased LaMarche Creek Outfitting after many years of guiding for previous owner. Lance is an avid hunter with 22 years of experience. Bowhunting, calling elk and fishing are passions for him. He has been fortunate enough to kill a bull elk with his bow for the past 13 years. He has also killed mountain lion and bear with his bow.
