We are a Hunting Outfit that specializes in both rifle and archery hunting for mule deer and rocky mountain elk. We hunt over 30,000 acres of private land in both central and eastern Oregon. We hunt elk 8 months out of the year, whether it be for bull elk or during our long cow elk seasons. The primary area for our elk hunts is in the Northside GMU (game management unit) outside of John Day OR. We also hunt elk in the Heppner and Grizzly GMU's and buck deer in the Grizzly GMU. We have a very limited number of deer hunts but we generally run 90% success rate on bucks ranging from the 120's - 160's. Our rifle bull elk hunts are very good. The Northside GMU where we hunt is said to have the largest population of elk in the State of Oregon. We consistently harvest bulls in the 290-320 range and did harvest a bull taping out at 344 in 2016. Our rifle hunts are $3800-$5500 for fully outfitted hunts. The archery hunting for bull elk is exceptional. Over the last 2 years we have experienced a 80% opportunity at harvesting an elk. But with archery hunting comes a lot of missed shots, and other typical scenarios. We have numerous ground blinds and tree stands and our guides are very efficient at calling elk within range during the rut hunts. In 2017 we are going to offer self guided hunts the 1st and 3rd weeks of the season which include lodging on 10,000 acres of private land for $3300. Fully outfitted hunts on 25,000 acres of private land will take place the 2nd, and 4th weeks of the season for $5500. When we aren't hunting bulls we are generally hunting cows. These are 2 day guided hunts (no food or lodging) for $1300. This is a great freezer filler. We hunt cows in early August and then again from late November through the end of March. Last but not least, buck hunting. We offer guided buck hunts in the Grizzly GMU. This is a great hunt and generally see lots of deer on a daily basis. I only allow 4 bucks a year to be harvested from this 2200 acre ranch. Price is $3200 for a fully outfitted hunt. We also provide guided Turkey Hunting and also Predator hunting as well.
