Welcome to the new Mer Bleue! Or as we now call it Eastern Canadian Outfitters' (ECO) Mer Bleue. About Eastern Canadian Outfitters (ECO)

Welcome to the new Mer Bleue! Or as we now call it Eastern Canadian Outfitters' (ECO) Mer Bleue. Our new motto of "Where the pavement ends, Adventure Begins" couldn't be more true as our exclusive 26 sq. km (11 000 Acre) territory is easily accessible by the smallest or fanciest of vehicles but when the pavement ends at the cabins….you are left at the doorstep of hundreds of thousands of square kilometres of lakes, rivers, logging roads, forests and wildlife! Welcome to the rolling hills of the Gatineau Valley, Quebec. After several years of looking for the "perfect location" to begin our own adventure of running a multi use fishing, hunting and eco-tourism lodge, we felt that this beautiful area rich in history and natural resources matched with its easy accessibility could not be beat. We truly feel we can cater to every outdoorsman and woman no matter how they choose to enjoy the area. As a Fish and Wildlife management technician by trade with 20 years of experience working with Fish and Wildlife agencies, I have a plan! My plan is simple, to ensure not only the sustainable management of the forests, fish and wildlife of the territory but to enhance it. This doesn't always mean more numbers, but generally means larger and healthier fish and wildlife for all visitors to enjoy. I will be working with both the Quebec government and guests of the lodge to implement many voluntary management measures to produce bigger white-tailed deer and black bear and more moose, walleye and brook trout within the outfitting territory. We look forward to meeting you and introducing you to all the Gatineau Valley has to offer!
